RCPSYCH FACULTY OF EATING DISORDERS CONFERENCE 2024

Some of the work that the team at Club Majority has been engaged with was featured at the annual Royal College of Psychiatrists Faculty of Eating Disorders Conference 2024, at Royal College of Psychiatrists HQ (21 Prescot Street, London E1 8BB), in London on 13th November 2024.

The session was titled: ‘Checklist for the Underrepresented in Eating Disorders’.

It highlighted the collaborative work that Club Majority has been undertaking with those with lived experience, clinicians and academics. It showed the initial stages of a much larger project that Club Majority is engaged with, with some its partners, with the hope of piloting in 2026.

The panel session was chaired by Director of Club Majority, Dr Chukwuemeka Nwuba. It also featured Miriam Kilpatrick (art psychotherapist), Dr Jamie Chan (social psychologist) and Andy Jones (lived experience).

The event was very well received, with some people praising the work as “bold” and “innovative”, and generated a great deal of discussion for the future care of underserved patients with disordered eating, and eating disorders.
